Project Description:
The research of artworks specifically designed for the Healthcare Industry and the Kenyan Cultural Heritage. The project explored how Tinga Tinga East African Paintings can help improve the lives of the staff and patients within the hospital environment. The 6 acrylic paintings created, heavily depicted landscapes and vegetation to help to therapeutically serve as a healing tool and reduction of loneliness by stimulating conversations through their subject matter. The art research was inspired by Kenyan wildlife and landscapes and the style was inspired by the works of David Mzuguno and Pierre Renoir.
